Sea Spray Dorset
A large basement
extension on a site by the cliff
edge at Swanage. The site was
permanently wet.
To comply with BS 8102 the ground
had to be drained by means of pumps,
sumps and land drainage. The outside
of the building was protected with
Delta Geo Drain installed over the walls
and draining to land drains at the toe
of the footing.
The inside was lined with System
500 on the walls and MS 20 on the
floors.
Drainage channel was
installed around the wall floor join to
large pumps installed by the clients
engineers.
The installation was
guaranteed by the GPI Insurance for a
period of 10 years.
