LSE
Offices
Field Farm was bought
by Linda and Ian MacLennan in September
2003 as a totally derelict house and
barns.
It took just 6 months to completely
renovate the house using all traditional
lime mortars and timber from sustainable
sources. The inside of the property
was completely lined with
Ventilated
( breathing ) Cavity membranes and
plastered with a one coat plaster
system to give a dry warm interior
with a rustic cottage look but with
all the high-tech gadgets inside.
The Barn was in an even worse state
of repair than the house and had been
condemned as not worth restoration.
It took LSE just four months to convert
the barn in to high tech offices while
retaining all of the original features.
